As a professional photographer visiting Hotel Lucerne in NYC, the charming boutique hotel exceeded my expectations. Despite a hiccup with the AC and room amenities, the exceptional staff and prime location near the subway made for a memorable stay. The cozy French restaurant was a delightful bonus. A return visit is definitely on the cards!

Despite some hiccups like loud neighbors and unreliable WiFi, the Lucerne's attention to detail and cozy retro elegance made for a relaxing stay. The location near the American Museum of Natural History was ideal, and the comfortable beds and friendly staff were highlights. The thin walls and misleading information were minor downsides, but overall, a great pick for a city getaway.

Overall had really good stay at the hotel. The rooms they have were neat and immaculate with very comfortable bed and couch plus modern amenities. The location was unbeatable, at a near distance from a sprawling park.

Overall excellent stay on this visit. My checkin was good.

The room was very comfortable and large, providing a relaxing stay. However, there were several maintenance issues and lack of amenities that need improvement.

We loved the hotel, it was stunningly beautiful and had fantastic location close to GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD RESTAURANTS AND SUBWAY, shops, Times Square. The room was gorgeous, moreover well-appointed with a very comfortable bed. The attached restaurant for breakfast was the best part.

A hidden gem near Central Park, this hotel offers a quiet elegance. The staff is helpful, rooms spacious and clean. Despite parking challenges, the neighborhood is vibrant. Great location for exploring the city, with cozy restaurants nearby. The fitness center could use an upgrade, but overall, a lovely stay.

The room, location, staff, and restaurant were all wonderful, with comfy beds and a fantastic shower. Nice Matin is a gem and the perfect spot to start the day with a yummy breakfast. Although the AC was a bit wonky and needed some attention, it didn't ruin our overall fab experience. 🌟

Loved to be here, the hotel was clean and cozy, the location was peaceful next door restaurant was amazing. The room was tidy with comfortable beds and couch, as for instance, the check-in was early. The staff were helpful and attentive as well, would stay here again. Great service during my good stay. Furthermore, parking nearby was a bonus.

In the heart of the city, 150 meters from 79th Street. Our room was cozy, with a kitchenette and granite bathroom. The staff made me feel like a VIP. The location is ideal for exploring the city's attractions. The sidewalk café was a hit with my family. From Lincoln Center to Columbia University, we saw it all. And for a family of skiers, being close to Central Park was a bonus. All in all, a great stay with no complaints.

The Lucerne Hotel wins with its fantastic central location, near Central Park and Metro, with friendly doormen. The room was quiet, the staff helpful. A French restaurant on-site showcased excellent food. Though the older hotel had minor maintenance issues, overall, a memorable stay in a charming neighborhood.

Cash on arrival of the amount more than 50$ per day returned at the end of the stay but lower due to taxes and exchange rates. Very small room for 4 persons

Friendly and available staff, very good location close to the subway, natural history museum and Central Park.

Slightly outdated equipment, bathroom with bathtub not practical, few toiletries, towels changed every other day, coffee maker available but cup not changed. Elevator broken down during the whole week, fortunately there are two of them.

Like a scene from a classic movie, my stay at this hotel felt like a sophisticated adventure through the old New York. Imagine sipping coffee in the morning while gazing at the architectural charm of the Upper West Side from the comfort of a cozy suite. The atmosphere was simply enchanting.

The location close to Central Park and close to the subway . Central Park at 500m where we went jogging from the hotel . The subway at 200m from the hotel is very convenient to get to the center of New York.... The room is quite big and very clean.

only downside to the bedroom was the inconvenient and cramped bathroom... impractical shower system. toilet built into the bathroom hindered the opening of the door and ventilation which was triggered at the same time as the light would interfere with a noise nuisance. Breakfast is not a continental breakfast. It is served à la carte at an exorbitant price!

The location, the size of the room (two small double beds, practical in case of conflict but we would have preferred a large double bed) . Lemon water in the hall !

That the lemon water is not present throughout the day ... Only negative point, we took the taxi ordered by the hotel with a price including taxes + tips) ... At the arrival the price was not the same 15 dollars more !!!

We had a fantastic stay at Lucerne! the staff and service were excellent, making us feel truly welcomed. the hotel's location on the Upper West Side was perfect, with plenty of great restaurants nearby to explore. We also loved the fact that it was within walking distance to many popular tourist sites, making sightseeing convenient. Our room, while not huge, was comfortable and had everything we needed. We appreciated the convenience of the business center for printing our boarding passes, as well as the reliable WiFi.

One of the highlights was the incredible soundproofing, making our room one of the quietest I've ever experienced in the city. Centrally located yet far enough away to get away from the crowds of Times Square. Wonderful boutique hotel with a warm vibe that a lot of the chain hotels lack. Interesting neighborhood with fabulous architectural, historical homes and businesses. Walking distance to Central Park and Strawberry Fields, Natural History Museum and the Historical Museum. Concierge on site with convenient tickets at a reduced cost. I appreciated the relaxing massage services and nearby landmarks like Central Park for family bonding. Staff were exceptionally friendly, despite some minor distractions from chats among desk staff. a highly recommended stay for a genuine New York experience.

I had a fantastic stay at a hotel on W. 79th St in the Upper West Side. The location was perfect, just a block away from the 79th St subway station and close to the American Museum of Natural History. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with comfortable double beds and excellent lighting. The hotel also had a concierge staff who were helpful in assisting us with restaurant reservations. Despite being near the elevator, the room was surprisingly quiet. The bathroom was well-appointed, and I appreciated the Aveda toiletries provided. The hotel's wifi was reliable and strong throughout my stay. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel for future trips to NYC.

We had a great experience staying at Lucerne. the location was perfect on Amsterdam Avenue, with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodated our request for an extra night with the same room. the room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the large bathroom with its fantastic shower.

The hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay, with scaffolding and mesh covering the building. This made the rooms a bit dark and took away from the overall ambiance.

I recently stayed at this place and was pleasantly surprised by its location in a quiet area on the UWS, easily within walking distance to the subway. The staff, from the doorman to the front desk, were all very friendly and accommodating, and the room amenities were top-notch, including soundproofed rooms and in-room air conditioning. There were also several good restaurants in the neighbourhood, which was an added bonus. I was very pleased with my stay here.
